Q: I like the mold at XYZ site; will you copy it directly for me?

A: We're not big fans of straight copying. If we think we can improve on the design or change it, we would love to help you improve on an existing design.

Q: How do I get my mold design ideas to you? What kind of file do you need?

A: We'll take any file you want to send us but if you'd like to make us exceedingly happy, the best files to send us are .TIFS or .JPEGS or .SVG files. We're happy to work with anything though. The .SVG file is the absolute best for getting precision and clarity of design but we can work with anything.

Q: I don't have a file. I just have this vague idea that I'd like a (insert your own fun and exciting design idea here). Now what?

A: Not to worry, we can help. It will take longer but we can work with you for a flat fee or an hourly fee to design whatever your heart desires. We've designed ice cream cones, tractors and police cars - we can design your project too.

Q: So, the average design fee starts at $400. What will I get for that?

A: You'll get up to 2 physical revisions of your mold. What does a 'physical revision' look like? It's an actual 3-D object that you can touch, feel and hold in your hand. It's exactly what your soap (or chocolate or candle or candy or plaster or cement object) will look like when it pops out of the mold. When the molding process for your design is completed, molds start at $7.50 to purchase with quantity discounts all the way down to $3.35 for bulk rates.

Q: About how long does the whole process take from start to finish? How long will it be before I have my custom designed mold in my hands?

A: It depends on the complexity of your design, the amount of custom work in front of your order and how many revisions you do. A ballpark average time frame is normally 3 weeks from start to finish though some projects may take longer if there are a large amount of orders in front of yours.
